On Saturday 14th May 2022 the Deputy District Grand Prefect W. Bro Brian Alan Ward and the District Grand Secretary W. Bro Derek Wilkins headed over the water into the Allied District of Essex to attend their annual district meeting.

 Brian and Derek were accompanied by W. Bro’s Steve Davis (DGJW) Roy Skelton (DGJD), Mark Woolcott ADGS) and Bro. Paul Gillingham from the West Kent Council 66.

Members from the AMD of Kent visit the District of Essex for their Annual Meeting On arrival the contingent from Kent were warmly welcomed by our neighbouring brethren from over the water in Essex and again during the meeting by the District Grand Prefect for Essex R. W. Bro. Jeffrey Conway.

The festive board was plentiful and delicious, the toast to the DGP by his Deputy W. Bro Tony Edwards was humorous (even the one about the fox cubs) but most of all, the company we enjoyed was excellent.
