Ashford Council 99 Installation
On Wednesday the 27th July the Ashford Council 99 held its installation meeting at the Masonic centre in North Street Ashford. Immediately after the Council had been opened by the Worshipful Master W. Bro Peter Dowling a eulogy to commemorate the sad passing of M. W. Bro Timothy John Lewis who was a Past Grand Master of the Order was given by R.W. Bro Clive Manuel.
Eighteen brethren including three visitors were in attendance to witness W. Bro Peter Dowling install Bro. Ivor Spencer into the chair of St Lawrence the Martyr in an explementary fashion. The installing Master and the Master were then congratulated by the Deputy Grand Master R. W. Bro Clive Manuel and the Deputy District Grand Prefect W. Bro Brian Alan Ward and the rest of the brethren who had witnessed the installation ceremony.
The Worshipful Master, W. Bro Ivor then proceeded to appoint and invest his officers for the year in a very sincere and friendly manner. The officers for the year are listed below:

In the risings a report was given regarding the health of W. Bro Roger Odd by W. Bro Steve Davis, The Deputy District Grand Prefect, W. Bro Brian Alan Ward gave a report on the new website and encouraged the brethren to use it and let him have any articles for the website.
The council was then closed before the brethren dined together and enjoyed a happy and cheerful festive board.
