On Saturday 20th August 2022 the District Grand Prefect R. W. Bro Peter Brockbank accompanied by his Deputy District Grand Prefect W. Bro Brian Alan Ward, the District Grand Secretary W. Bro Derek Wilkins and W. Bro Tony Maslin headed North up the M1 to Derbyshire to attend the Annual General Meeting of Allied District of East Midlands.

Following a very warm welcome from our hosts and lots of jovial banter with friends from other districts we were directed into a packed temple to witness the business of the day. After the council had been opened, an escort comprising of active Grand officers was formed, which included our very own W. Bro David Green, who is currently the Grand Standard Bearer, for our order. The Grand Master the M W Bro. Thomas Frith Jackson was then escorted into the temple where he was warmly welcomed and saluted. Those assembled then witness the Grand Master install the new District Grand Prefect W. Bro Steven Barret in a most excellent manner.
