A visit to Shuttleworth Council No. 50
As a warm up to the East Lancashire District Meeting R. W. Bro. Brian Ward, W. Bro. Derek Wilkins and W. Bro. Mark Woolcott attended the Shuttleworth Council at the Middleton Masonic Club in Greater Manchester on Friday 8th September 2023 to see W. Bro. Peter Warner GJ.D. Installed into the Chair.
The Council is open to District Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries and is a great way to meet and share experiences and knowledge creating a closer bond with other Districts.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of R. W. Bro. Mervyn Wilson the D.G.P. for East Lancashire and was conducted in a most sincere manner by V.W. Bro. Andrew Stanton.

As members of the Council W. Bro. Derek Wilkins was appointed as Director of Ceremonies and W. Bro. Mark Woolcott was appointed as Inner Guard, and to prove that visiting is so rewarding R. W. Bro. Brain Ward acted as Junior Warden during the ceremony of Installation.
The Festive Board was a chance to relax and enjoy some of the local fare. There after the brethren retired to the hotel for further dispatch of (liquid) Masonic business.
