The Grand Council Meeting at Queen Street on the 24th October
On Monday 23rd October twelve District Grand Prefects from England and Wales gathered together at the Victory Service Club in London to chat and share initiatives from their particular district. This event which included many refreshments followed by dinner was organised by R. W. Bro Bob Chevin the DGP from Thames Valley District.
Over breakfast the next morning the DGP’s agreed that the informal get together had been a whole hearted success and voted unanimously to hold the event again the following year. After breakfast there then followed a 'Perfection of Prefects' as they departed the Victory Service club and headed to Great Queen Street for the Annual General Council Meeting of the Allied Masonic Degrees.
A Perfection of Prefects
On Tuesday 24th October Twenty-three brethren form the district of Kent travelled to Great Queen Street to attend the Annual General meeting for the Allied Masonic degrees. Of the twenty-three brethren five were there to receive Grand Council Honours. Those brethren are listed below.

The meeting was presided over by the Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother Thomas Firth Jackson ably assisted by our very own R. W. Bro Clive Manual who stood in as the Deputy Grand Master. The temple was graced with many distinguished brethren from many parts of the globe who witnessed a beautiful ceremony conducted by the Grand Master and his team of active officers.
At the conclusion of the meeting the Grand Master accompanied by his active officers and other distinguished brethren processed out of the temple to a splendid fanfare. Afterwards the brethren from Kent gathered together for photographs to mark the occasion before heading to the Connaught Rooms for lunch. Following lunch, the brethren retired to a local hostelry for a final drink or two before heading for home.
In conclusion a splendid time was had by all those who attended.
