Following on from a very successful District meeting held on the 17th February in Gillingham the brethren of the West Kent Council No. 66 were back on duty at Oakley House Bromley on Wednesday 21st February.

Sadly, due to other commitments the worshipful Master W. Bro. Ray was unable to attend the meeting but the masters chair was filled by W. Bro Jody Townsend who with only twenty four hours notice introduced, received, and admitted Bro. Neil Dominic Sceeny into the Order of the Allied Masonic Degrees in a faultless ceremony. This master class in ritual was followed by the lecture superbly delivered by W. Bro Alan Coxon MBE with style and flare. Clearly our newly admitted Bro Neil could not fail to have been impressed by all of the hard work put in by both W. Bro’s Jody and Alan.

Following the ceremony W. Bro. Archie Torrance (President of the Mark Benevolent Fund) gave a short presentation surrounding the Grand Masters Keystone Fund Award and the various bursaries and training schemes being funded.

The Brethren then retired to a most enjoyable Festive Board where there was a genuine sense of warmth and friendship along with many old jokes and yarns.
