The District Grand Prefect R. W. Bro. Brian Alan Ward was warmly welcomed by the Brethren of the White Cliffs of Dover Council 210 at the Masonic Hall in Dover on Monday 24th July and was delighted to present a Grand Council Certificate to Bro. Alan Brown during the course of the evening.

The business of the Council was to admit Bros. Pritchard, Baker and Bowman (a visitor from the Canterbury Council 65) to the Degree of the Grand Tilers of Soloman. As ever the ceremony was conducted in a near perfect manner by the Worshipful Master W. Bro Fred Brown who was ably assisted by his fellow officers with a star performance by Bro. Benedict Katumba as conductor. The lecture was delivered by a stalwart of the Council W.Bro. Lew Finnis with aplomb. Special thanks must also go to W. Bro Tony Lewis from Canterbury Council who stood in as director of Ceremonies for the evening.

During the risings the District Grand Prefect thanked the brethren of the council for their warm welcome and for sponsoring the social event that is being held in Folkestone on the 17th August. He also took the opportunity to remind them that he still needed names for the horses they had sponsored and that he looked forward to welcoming as many of the brethren with their friends and family at the event in August.

The evening concluded with a superb Festive Board where horse names for the social event were suggested, many of which invoked gales of laughter. A truly wonderful evening.
