A contingent from Kent attend the District of London Annual meeting
On Saturday the 16th November a contingent of Allied masons, from Kent, consisting of the Past Deputy Grand Master, R. W. Bro. Clive Manuel, the District Grand Prefect R. W. Bro. Brian Ward, his Deputy W. Bro Geoff Whale and the District Grand Secretary W. Bro. Derek Wilkins attended the annual general meeting of the Allied District of London held at Mark Masons Hall. The meeting was attended by over one hundred brethren from all parts of the country and was presided over by the District Grand Prefect for London R. W. Bro Coln Woodcock MBE.
When the meeting had been opened in due form by the D.G.P. he welcomed all of the distinguished guests and visitors in a most warm and often humorous fashion which provoked many equally humorous responses.

When the administrative business of the day had been completed the D.G.P. then invested W. Bro. Scott Cargill as his new Deputy District Grand Prefect in a most sincere manner. Having completed this most enjoyable task he then went on to invest the rest of the District Grand Officers appointed for the year. He then addressed the brethren of the district before closing the District meeting.

The brethren then gathered in the bar for refreshments before being called to the dining hall to enjoy a superb festive board of Roasted Sable fish, Crisp Potato, Wilted Greens and Champagne Sauce. Followed by Dark Chocolate & Cherry Tart with Honeycomb Ice-cream.
A wonderful time was had with much laughter and conversation. A fabulous day which truly encapsulated much of the spirit of freemasonry. Fun and laughter, good company and enjoyment.
