A First for the Order of the Allied Masonic Degrees
On the 15th February 2025 the Order of Allied Masonic Degrees in the District of Kent were delighted to welcome almost one hundred Allied brethren to their annual District meeting held at the Masonic Centre in Gillingham.
Those attending included many distinguished guests and visiting District Grand Prefects who had travelled the length and breadth of the country to be in attendance and show their support. Also in attendance was W. Bro. Archie Torance who is a member of the district but on this occasion, he was there in his official capacity as the President of the Mark Benevolent Fund.
At the appropriate moment during the meeting the District Grand Prefect R.W.Bro. Brian Ward instructed the District Grand Director of Ceremonies W.Bro. Jody Townsend to escort W.Bro. Archie to the Pedestal where he was presented with a symbolic cheque made payable to the Grand Master’s Keystone Fund. In response to this the President of the Mark Benevolent Fund presented the District Grand Prefect with the Grand Master’s Keystone Fund collarette and Certificate pointing out that within the Order of the Allied Masonic Degrees Kent was the very first District to have achieved this accreditation.
