Paddock Wood Council Installation - Wednesday 28th May 2025
The Installation meeting of the Paddock Wood Council, No 88, was held on Wednesday 28th May, at Wrotham, with the Deputy District Grand Prefect, W. Bro. Geoff Whale, in attendance, as a member of the Council.
The Council was opened in due form by the Worshipful Master, W. Bro. Nigel Cash, who, after administration items then proceeded to Install an enthusiastic Bro. David James, who had been looking forward to his Installation. Bro. Cash carried out the ceremony in a fine manner – and to obvious pleasure of Bro. James.

Following the Installation, the Dep.D.G.P. then conveyed the best wishes of the D.G.P., R.W.Bro. Brain Ward, together with his own, to the newly Installed Master, hoping he would enjoy his year as Master coupled with the hope there would be a Candidate for admission, which, the Secretary, W. Bro. Duncan Griffiths, confirmed later, would be the case.

After the brethren had been readmitted, the Master invested all his Officers in a most friendly and efficient manner, thanking Bro. Duncan for his hard work as Secretary for the past few years, and appointing Bro. Cash as his replacement.
The Secretary made mention of the family Sunday lunch, set for 5th October, and that he would circulate full information in a few weeks. The Dep.D.G.P. reminded the brethren of the annual charity fund raiser, a Race Afternoon, to be held at the home of the D.G.P., on Saturday 2nd August, and the Council proposed, seconded and voted in favour that the Council would sponsor a race and sixhorses, which would go towards the charity fund. The Dep.D.G.P. also urged members and their families to attend as the occasion had been a great fun afternoon on the two previous occasions it had been held.
