Ashford Council 99 have a Busy and Productive Night
On Thursday the 28th August the Worshipful Master of the Ashford Council W.Bro. Ken Nunn was delighted to welcome three guests and visitors to the regular meeting of the Council held at the Ashford Masonic Centre in North Street. The council was attended by eighteen members all eager to assist the Worshipful Master with his duties scheduled for the evening which was to admit. A busy night.
The Worshipful Master W.Bro. Ken Nunn opened the council in due form ably assisted by his officers and then proceeded to dispatch the early business of the council. When completed he vacated the masters chair in favour of W. Bro. Derek Wilkins who along with W. Bro. Jim Howard and Bro. Tony Bartlett admitted Bros Beavers, Hadlow, Walkden and Lucas into the Degree of Grand Tilers of Soloman in an impressive manner.

This was followed by and excellent, extended and well researched lecture for the degree which was given by W. Bro. Roger Odd as only Roger can deliver a lecture. The lodge of Grand Tilers of Soloman was then closed and the candidates congratulated.
The Worshipful Master W. Bro. Ken Nunn then resumed the chair and resumed working on the degree of St Lawrence the Martyr.

In pursuant of an earlier notice of motion given by R.W.Bro. Brian Ward the lodge voted to support the Grand Masters Keystone fund and purchase a silver gilded jewel. It is hoped that this honorific will be presented to Council in March 2026.
The lodge was then closed in due form and the brethren retired to the bar for refreshments before enjoying a delightful festive board together.
