Lunch for the District Officers with the Executive
On Tuesday 2nd December the Allied Exec, W. Bros Barden, Townsend, Whale and Wilkins met with the District Grand Prefect at his home in Folkestone to review the progress made against the district objectives set for 2025 and set new challenges for 2026.
Following the mornings productive meeting the exec were joined by Bros. Fred Brown, Alan Coxon M.B.E., Adrian Grant, Royston Hartley, Peter Hayler, Paul Hutchinson, Ray Johnson, Ivor Spencer and Alan Wilson-Storey for a few drinks and nibbles before enjoying a wonderful lunch together prepared by the District Grand Prefects wife Toni.

There is always a moment of silliness at every get togther - this is it: The D.G.P. presents Fred with a pie
Lunch consisted of homemade Salmon fishcakes served with hollandaise sauce; followed by a roast loin of pork with a spicy herb crumb, goats cheese mash and a vast selection of seasonal vegetables. A trio of homemade desserts then followed comprising of a classic tiramisu, chocolate and orange tart and a baked plumb and amoretto pie. All served with a choice of either fresh cream, custard or a selection of homemade ice cream. Cheese and biscuits with homemade pickle followed to completed the meal. All washed down with very modest volumes of wine, port and brandy.
As thank you to all of the active officers Toni presented them with a goodie bag consisting of homemade date and apple chutney and spicy apple butter.
